Balcony breakfast

Feeling a bit hungover this morning after last night’s unexpectedly intoxicating bottle of Jim Barry 2004 The Lodge Hill Riesling… an oily, petrolly nose, with flavours of thyme, plimsol-rubber, over-ripe or even candied pineapple and lime (past it’s best I think….maybe hence the hangover) – so the only thing for it is a detox.

Hair of the dog and full English won’t cut it here. Instead, it’s breakfast on the balcony. Black coffee and a fruit salad of mangosteen, pineapple and papaya – a mezcla of tropical goodness, awakening my taste buds.

I feel so holy.
